Niclas Olsson 2010-04-09 07:41:12 Really great place this ebaman site!!! Truly greatful for finding good documentation of testequipment! Trying to repair my Philips 3212 scope and 3217 seem quite similiar to it. I have before finding this manual found 2 broken transistors and digged out the schematics by inspection and thinking and this 3217 manual has now showed that I was correct in my understanding of the function (and the transistor types which were hard to see). Unfortunately the scope still does not work after device change so something else is also broken. The scope ran and all of a sudden the traces just disappeared from the screen and a slight smell was noticed. I just hope the cathode ray is not broken but I would be surprised if it is since it was working good before. Since the broken devices was found in the square wave generator I think some other device also have got broken when the power transistors gave up and not the cathode ray itself.
